Are you bored and in need of a circuit breaker from everyday life?
Do you like to explore off the beaten path and avoid the crowds?
Are you longing for more expansive life experiences which allow you to go deep, explore and grow to your potential?
Or, do you just need an EPIC ADVENTURE to look forward to?
Well, you’re in luck because we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are excited to be joining with Frieda from Frieda Yoga and Hiking for an Adventure of a Lifetime, to delve deep into the depths of the ancient Karijini Landscape. This majestic and rugged landscape, steeped in indigenous history, is located in the remote Pilbara Region of Western Australia, and harbours unique geological formations, flora and fauna found nowhere else on the planet. The canyons we will be travelling through have been carved out by water over millions of years and expose some of the oldest rocks and fossils on earth. This often fragile environment, undergoes dramatic changes each wet season, as vast volumes of water cascade through the canyons. Be one of the few that have done all 5 parts of the class 6 restricted canyons back to back, add to this 6 non restricted canyons of spectacular beauty and a Mount Bruce Summit Hike, stunning red earth punctuated by yellows and greens, turquoise waters and magnificent sunsets and sunrises, and you have yourself a once in a lifetime adventure.
The Karijini Yoga & Canyoning Adventure is the escape you’ve been craving to feel truly alive, exploring nature and self in the most stunning location possible!
You’ll be fully supported by expert guides to safely step outside your comfort zone, learn new skills and grow towards your full potential.
You’ll delight in new friendships with our small group of like-minded adventure buddies.
You’ll avoid the crowds and experience the most-beautiful secret spots in Karijini National Park, guided by expert tour leaders and a highly experienced Yoga Instructor.
You’ll paddle, abseil, hike and climb your way through gorges carved out by millions of years of water flow.
The locations we explore are just too beautiful to explain in words, or to be fully captured by camera. The benefits of this experience and the magic of these ancient landscapes simply need to be felt to truly be appreciated.
You’ll see unique geological formations, flora and fauna found nowhere else on the planet, all while exploring canyons only entered by a select few each year.
You’ll enjoy the contrasting colours of turquoise water cascading through stunning red rock formations, interspersed with patches of green trees. Looking up, you’ll see the steep sides of red rock give way to beautiful blue skies above.
… and that’s before we even talk about the amazing pastel tones of the epic sunrises and sunsets!
Between our adrenaline-filled adventures, we’ll relax and recover with mindful movement, juicy stretches, deep relaxation and carefully curated reflection exercises. Plus, we will get to know and support each other through the challenges and achievements of this amazing journey.
Let’s reconnect with what’s truly important in life; personal growth, meaningful connection with others, and appreciation for nature.
You don't need to be a canyoning or yoga expert to join us - all you need is a decent level of fitness and an adventurous spirit.
Beginners to yoga, hiking and canyoning are most welcome!
Turn up with an open mind, the gear on our carefully collated packing list and the rest is carefully planned and organised for you.
During your Adventure you’ll experience:
Three days of serious adventure abseiling, tubing, hiking, swimming and climbing your way through five of Karijini’s Class 6 Canyons, off limits to the general public, where you’ll explore diverse wilderness with breathtaking views.
Six nights of comfortable “glamping” in a gorgeous Deluxe Eco Tent with ensuite at the beautiful Karijini Eco Retreat, the only luxury accommodation in the National Park (which is otherwise booked out til mid 2021!) You’ll awake to the sounds of nature each morning and enjoy full views of the Milky Way, without pesky light pollution, before bed each night.
Daily yoga and meditation classes in a range of styles, so that our adventures are balanced out with the deep stretching and relaxation your body and mind need to recover and feel great.
Optional self-development exercises including journalling and conscious connection practices, so that you can maximise the opportunities presented by this magical experience and integrate the benefits back into everyday life.

Delicious and nutritious plant-based cuisine lovingly prepared for you for every meal, including delicious snacks, so you won’t go hungry, nor will you ever have to think about picking up a pot or pan yourself.
An amazing guided hike to the summit of Mount Bruce, Western Australia’s second tallest peak, where you’ll enjoy 360 degree views of the exquisite beauty of the Pilbara region.
Meet your Guides
Frieda Orr (Owner of Frieda Yoga and Hiking)
Hey there, I’m Frieda, your friendly and fun yoga facilitator for this awesome adventure. I am super passionate about helping people just like you to live happier, healthier lives through yoga, evidence-based self development practices and spending quality time in nature. I have some fantastic classes and activities in store for this trip!
Don’t worry, it won’t be too serious and woo woo though - I’m not a preachy yoga teacher who tells you how things should feel or tells you definitively how the world works. Instead, I’ll help you to move your body safely while also encouraging you to be curious about any thoughts and feelings which come up. My classes are playful and beginner-friendly, and on this trip there’ll be a strong focus on the deep stretching your body will need to recover ready for the next adventure.
I have completed over 500 hours of formal yoga and meditation teacher training including training in hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, mindfulness-based stress reduction and vipassana meditation. I continue to learn as much as I can about the body and mind so that I can keep sharing the most effective practices and techniques with you.
Yoga has made a HUGE impact on my mental and physical wellbeing. I’ve gone through some pretty rough times over the years, including bouts of depression, anxiety, stress-induced insomnia, sciatic nerve pain, chronic tension and back pain. Eeek - No fun at all! Now, with a regular yoga practice, I stay (mostly) sane, strong and fit, ready to face whatever challenges life throws my way.
I haven’t always been a yoga teacher - believe it or not, my background is corporate law and commercial contract management. Pretty different hey! I get how busy and stressful life can be. I know just how hard it can be to find the time for self-care, let alone to organise what that looks like. I’ve been there. That’s why I LOVE to create experiences which help people in the same boat. My aim is to create experiences where you can simply turn up and go with the flow - I love taking care of the details so you don’t have to!
I would love to share my love of yoga, nature and adventure with you, so that you too can feel great inside and out.
Sven Borg (Owner of Spacechameleon Adventure Co)
Sven has been a passionate outdoor enthusiast since childhood and has been working in the outdoor adventure industry for a decade. He founded Spacechameleon Adventure Co in 2014. Sven's mission is to help you to learn new skills and have fun, while showcasing the best nature locations in Western Australia. However, don’t mistake Sven’s playful nature and great sense of humour for a lack of seriousness! If there is one thing that Sven prioritises above all else it is safety. From having the right equipment to training his guides and guests, Sven puts your safety first.
When you join the Karijini Yoga & Canyoning Adventure you can trust that you’re putting yourself in the best hands possible. Sven has been leading groups through Karijini’s Class 6 canyons since 2013. At present, Sven is the only commercial operator running Class 6 Canyon tours.
Sven is a qualified and highly experienced canyon, abseiling, climbing, canoe and bushwalking guide with substantial experience facilitating group and team-building activities. He holds a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation, a Remote Area First Aid qualification, a Bronze Medallion with Royal Life Saving Australia and is a trained Lifeguard. Sven not only leads groups in the great outdoors himself, but he teaches others the operational and safety skills required to pursue a similar career path. He is a registered National Outdoor Leader Registration Scheme (NOLRS) instructor and a Cert 4 Trainer and Assessor.
Sven’s experience working and playing in the outdoors has taken him to a diverse range of natural environments in Australia including New South Wales (primarily the Blue Mountains), Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland and various remote locations in Western Australia. Sven first started guiding canyoning tours in 2011 in the Blue Mountains.
Sven is a passionate environmentalist and volunteers his time for a variety of organisations. Sven aims to minimise the company's impact on the environment, treading lightly on the earth with respect; leaving only footprints and taking only memories.

We genuinely feel we have done our best to keep the price as low as possible and in line, if not below, similar products within WA. We understand that flying to some parts of Asia might be cheaper, but things being set up as they are in WA, internal flights and associated costs are higher.
In the event of not meeting minimum numbers, we would issue a full refund.

“Going on tour with Spacechameleon is definitely the way to immerse in the true beauty and rawness of Karijini. Having Sven and Andreas as our experienced guides allowed us to enter the restricted areas of the gorges not seen by most, providing our group with our own private hidden paradise to explore over the 3 days of canyoning. Sven and Andreas made the group feel comfortable and safe at all times, whilst providing a unique and adventure filled experience. I wouldn't have seen even a quarter of what we got to experience in Karijini if I'd gone by myself, and it was well worth joining this tour. Would definitely recommend.”

“There are no words to describe the beauty of the gorges. Canyoning through the Class 6 gorges was the adventure of a lifetime! Sven’s customer service was fast and clear and he was very helpful when I needed advice regarding the trip to Karijini. I’m not a lover of deep water, but Sven and other group members were supportive and great fun to be with. Sven really helped me to feel safe throughout the whole trip.”
[Angela attended Karijini Canyoning Adventure October 2020]
Karijini adventure. Thoroughly recommend this 4-5 day trip. Was exhilarating and awesome. Great value for money and was conducted in a very safe manner (I've been on quite a few tours that include roping/abseiling) with very friendly guides. A memorable experience."

“Frieda is an absolute professional in all that she does. Not only does Frieda provide an amazing well thought-out service, but she really pays attention to the finer details, putting a magical personal touch on her delivery. Recommending this beautiful woman is just too easy, as I have complete faith she won’t disappoint.”
