About

What’s in a name?

Good question.  We are a small company with a funny name, but with a serious appetite for adventure, and a desire to share this with you.

Our motto is simple: “ adventure adapted to suit space and need ”. No matter what your skill level, all you need is a reasonable level of fitness, and a desire to learn and have fun.

We specialise in adventure activities based around roping and team building, catering to individuals, small and large groups. We believe in providing personalised and tailored adventure experiences, which are delivered with excellence and professionalism, at a reasonable price.

Our courses and programs have a strong focus on sustainability, environmental issues and human behaviour. We believe that a focus on developing the individual's belief in themselves and recognising the part they play in a team, society and the ecosystem as a whole, allows for positive and creative contributions to our planet.

Spacechameleon Adventure Co is covered by a 20 million public liability insurance, and uses only qualified and experienced instructors, who have a passion for adventure, people and the great outdoors.

Spacechameleon Adventure Co. was founded by Sven Borg in 2014. Sven leads a small team of dedicated professionals with a passion for the outdoors and people.

Sven has spent many years working and playing in the outdoors, in various locations around Australia, including New South Wales (primarily The Blue Mountains), Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland, Karijini National Park (Lead Guide into the depths of Karijini), and various other outdoor companies in Western Australia.

Sven was initially trained in the Blue Mountains, and has expanded his training over the years.

He is a qualified and highly experienced canyon, abseiling, climbing, canoe and bushwalking guide, and an experienced instructor and facilitator. Sven has a nationally recognised Diploma in Outdoor Recreation, holds a nationally recognised Remote Area First Aid qualification, is a registered NOLRS instructor, as well as a Cert 4 Trainer and Assessor teaching others the skills of working in the Great Outdoors.

In addition to this, he also has his Bronze Medallion with Royal Life Saving Australia and has trained as a Lifeguard with Royal Life Saving Australia.

Sven is also a passionate environmentalist and volunteers his time for a variety of organisations. Sven aims to minimize the company's impact on the environment, treading lightly on the earth with respect; leaving only footprints and taking only memories.
